Description

The Zamioculas, or ZZ Plant, is one the hardiest houseplants around. This tough jungle plant is almost indestructible and copes well in low-light environments. The ZZ is also a great air-purifying plant. A study by the University of Copenhagen showed that it can remove significant amounts of ethylbenzene, xylene, toluene, benzene and from the air.

And we haven’t even mentioned its gorgeous, thick, glossy green leaves yet! The Zamioculcas really does have it all.

Treat it mean, keep it keen. These tough little plants like a bit of neglect. They handle relatively low lighting conditions and are a good choice for those people who are, let’s say “relaxed” about watering. We suggest watering once or twice a month unless it’s really warm. It’s best to let the roots dry-out completely between soakings. At its happiest, the Zamioculcas can grow to 3 or 4 ft in height.
